My dream of owning my own art business became reality in 1999, but my true love for art started as a very little girl. In all of society’s demands and life’s priorities, I’ve always managed to make time for art, It’s the one thing that has always stayed constant in my life. Art is in my genes, I’ve been inspired by several artists in my family. I am a descendant of the very well known artist, Robert Laessig.

After achieving a degree in commercial art, I started my career working at art agencies for several years. As time passed, my interests grew stronger in painting glass and in the art of making candles. And, that’s when a new exciting chapter in my life began. I started two businesses out of my home, a graphic design business, and a business hand-painting & pouring jar candles. Both businesses were prosperous, but after four years of running both, I chose to focus more on my candle art. My love for the paintbrush and candles was a bit stronger than my love for my Macintosh and graphic design. For years I participated in juried fine art fairs with my painted candle jars, earning my first ribbon in 2001. From there, I gained an abundance of loyal patrons who inspired me to start hosting art shows in their homes to share my candle art with their friends and family. My client base grew to 3,000 patrons in two years. In addition, my candles have become quite an attraction in boutiques and cafe’s in my area. Currently, I have over 80 designs to offer to retail stores.

The exquisite candle scents that I choose for my jars has become part of my inspiration for my art work on the candle jars. Also, my art expression is eminently inspired by the pure excitement of celebrating special events, achievements, holidays, and seasons. What better way to celebrate these special occasions than lighting a candle!
